Scam Compass Disclaimer

Please read this before you rely on any result.

What this tool is

Scam Compass helps you spot warning signs of crypto scams. It compares your answers with warning signs published by police, regulators and researchers. It also checks public information, such as when a website was registered and whether a wallet address appears on scam or sanctions lists.

What it is not

Scam Compass is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice. It does not recommend that you buy, sell, send or hold anything. It is not a law enforcement service, and we cannot recover lost money.

Accuracy of results

Results are based on your answers and on public sources that may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. A result showing few warning signs does not mean a person, company, website or wallet is safe. A result showing warning signs is not proof of a scam. New scams often appear before any list knows about them.

Do your own due diligence

Before you act, check who you are dealing with through sources you find yourself, not through links, numbers or apps they gave you. Talk to your financial advisor, your bank, or a trustworthy person. If money is at stake, consider speaking to a licensed financial adviser or lawyer.

Your decision

Every situation is different. Decide what is right for your situation, with the full picture in front of you.

Third parties

Some checks use data from independent providers. We do not control their data, and we do not guarantee it. Links to other sites are for your convenience and are not endorsements.

Provided as is

We provide this tool "as is", without any guarantee of accuracy, completeness or availability. To the extent the law allows, Vertexa is not liable for losses connected to your use of it.

Privacy

We do not save your answers. We keep a temporary copy of lookup results, such as a website's registration date, to keep the tool fast. We do not link checks to you or to an account. We keep short-term technical logs, such as your IP address, only to block abuse.
