01What Vertexa is (and isn't)
Vertexa is an information service. We show you the exchange rates that other companies are offering, side by side, so you can pick the one that suits you.
02Who can use Vertexa
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction.
- You must not be barred from using services like this by any applicable law or sanction.
03Your account
- One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
- You must give us an email address you actually control — we use it to notify you when an alert triggers and to reset your password.
- If you think your account has been compromised, email support@thevertexa.com immediately.
- You can close your account at any time from
/account. Closure erases your data (see the Privacy policy).
04Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, mirror, or resell the rates or vendor list without written permission.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, deface, or overload the site.
- Use Vertexa to violate any law, sanction, or third party's rights.
- Impersonate another person, or create an account with an email you don't own.
- Interfere with alerts, notifications, or the accounts of other users.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Egregious violations may be reported to the relevant authority.
05Rates, alerts, and "live" data
- Rates on
/compare,/rates, and/tools/currency-converterare refreshed at least every 60 seconds. Wise is a real live rate (badged Live). Other vendors are estimates based on their published spread — clearly labelled on every card. - Alerts fire on a best-effort basis. We aim for delivery within 5 minutes of the rate crossing your threshold, but delivery depends on your carrier and email provider.
- We do not guarantee that a rate shown on Vertexa will still be offered when you reach the vendor's site. Vendors can change their rates at any moment.
06Referral fees and rankings
Some vendors on Vertexa pay us a referral fee when you complete a transfer after clicking through from our site. This is how we keep the service free for you.
The referral fee does not affect the ranking. Vendors on /compare are sorted strictly by the rate they offer — the best rate is at the top, no exceptions. If we ever change that, we'll disclose it clearly on the comparison page.
07Third-party vendors
When you click Send money or Continue on a vendor card, you leave Vertexa. Your transfer is subject to the vendor's terms, fees, exchange rate, delivery time, and privacy policy — not ours. We have no control over their service and we're not a party to your transaction with them.
08Financial tools
Vertexa provides a SWIFT/BIC lookup, an IBAN checker, a currency converter, and an invoice generator. These tools are provided as is, for informational use only. They do not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice. Please verify anything critical with your bank or accountant before relying on it.
09Intellectual property
- The Vertexa name, logo, and design system belong to us.
- Vendor names and logos belong to the vendors — displayed here under fair use for comparison purposes.
- Aggregated rate data is compiled by Vertexa; you may reference short excerpts with attribution, but you may not republish the full dataset.
10Disclaimer
Vertexa is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do everything we reasonably can to keep rates fresh and the site up, but rates can lag, sites can go down, and mistakes happen.
11Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vertexa is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost savings from a rate that moved, or an alert that fired late. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of USD 100 or the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (which, since the service is free, is normally zero).
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer-protection law where those rights cannot be waived.
12Termination
- You can stop using Vertexa and delete your account at any time from
/account. - We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
- Clauses about intellectual property, disclaimer, liability, and governing law survive termination.
13Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Toronto, Ontario — save for any consumer-protection rights you have in your home jurisdiction.
14Changes to these terms
We'll update the Last updated date at the top when these terms change. Material changes are announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, close your account before the effective date.
